Rich tradition, Bold flavour, and Home in every bite! After working in the GTA as a Network Support Analyst, Microsoft Trainer, and Consultant with several major companies as a freelancer, I moved to Kingston in August 2010 in search of a quieter community and better schooling for my young family. During that period, I found myself missing the warmth and comfort of the traditional food I grew up with, dishes that bring people together through culture and flavour. That longing inspired me to take a bold new path, and in October 2012, I opened Limestone Kabob House. The restaurant soon became known for its fusion cuisine, inspired by Afghani, Pakistani, Lebanese, and Turkish traditions, served in a welcoming, family-friendly setting. Fast forward, when U.S. tariffs impacted ingredient costs and supply chains, I began rethinking how to continue offering quality food at affordable prices. Around the same time, I noticed a major shift in dining trends, more people were choosing takeout and frozen, ready to eat, meals seeking convenience without sacrificing authenticity or taste. That realization led to the creation of DesiMaza, a brand dedicated to crafting authentic, ready-to-eat frozen ethnic meals with the same passion, flavour, and care that defined Limestone Kabob House. From Malai Kheer to Beef Nihari, and Chicken Haleem to Beef Haleem, each dish delivers tradition and taste. DesiMaza stands as a symbol of resilience, innovation, and a deep commitment to sharing real food, made with heart, inspired by heritage, and crafted for today’s busy world. Now, we’re sharing those beloved flavors with households, grocery stores, and foodservice markets across Canada through our fresh-frozen Ready-to-Eat meals. |
